I think I first learned about San Francisco back in the 80’s from the popular tv series Full House. The opening shows the Golden Gate Bridge, a cable car and Alamo Square Park with the Painted Ladies.
Full House is one of my all-time favorite series so it was kind of exciting to see all these places. The Painted Ladies were a little smaller than I thought, but very beautiful because of the Victorian style. And they look as if they were newly painted.
Unfortunately I found out about movie tours on my last day in San Francisco. I would have really loved and enjoyed that. I also had the best time during the Sex and the City tour in New York. Maybe next time I visit San Francisco I’ll check out where Full House, The Wedding Planner and The Persuit of Happiness have been filmed!
